Sliderocket, précurseur du web-OS?

J’ai été invité à tester SlideRocket. Ce concurrent annoncé à Slideshare (sorte de youtube du powerpoint) est attendu avec impatience sur la blogosphère.
Le service consiste en une grosse application développée en Flex. Ce nouveau langage d’Adobe permet de réaliser des applications puissantes « browser agnostic » comme disent les anglophones, donc indépendantes de l’environnement sur lesquels elles sont exécutées, puisqu’elles sont gérées par un plugin (plugin Flash, sur laquelle cette techno est basée).
Cela veut dire qu’on peut s’affranchir complètement des limites du navigateur. Et c’est ce que fait très bien SlideRocket. Loin de se limiter au strict partage de présentation, ce service offre la possibilité de créer en ligne sa présentation. Et vous savez quoi ? C’est vraiment pas mal. L’interface riche est très bien faite, et la possibilité du web rend vos présentations plus interactives : en plus des habituelles formes, vous pouvez ajouter vidéos du web, vidéos flash – flv- des photos stockées en ligne –flickR et compagnie- etc., ce qui donne un coup de jeune à nos présentations.
Pour l’instant je n’ai pas réussi à l’exporter, ca doit être faisable en .swf, mais aucune idée de la possibilité de le faire au format .pps (powerpoint slideshow). De la même manière je ne sais pas si on peut récupérer la présentation sur Google Presentation. En revanche vous pourrez importer tout type de documents.
Pour le reste on attendra de voir la version définitive. Mais on a vraiment l’impression que les application de type « web-desktops » arrivent avant les système d’exploitation web eux-mêmes. Une tendance absolument inévitable, qui offre en + plus de classe et de nouveaux styles à nos présentations.
